British Dance Edition 2012

In 2012, London’s Olympic year, British Dance Edition (BDE) will be held in the capital for the first time. BDE2012 will be hosted by a consortium of eight of London’s leading dance promoters – The Place, Sadler’s Wells, South Bank Centre, ROH2, East London Dance, Greenwich Dance, Laban and Dance Umbrella.
BDE2012 will present a fully curated programme of British dance that is ready for international touring.
Background Information
BDE2012 will develop the festivals reputation as the premiere international showcase for UK dance. For the first time there will be a fully curated programme of work that is genuinely ready for the UK and international touring markets. The work will be shown across all seven venues plus additional work in site specific locations. The programme will be planned in a linear format enabling delegates to see all the work on show.
