Caer

Tucumán, Argentina

11 - 13 Dec '09

This piece takes as starting point the exploration of different images, sensations and associations of the “fall” as a metaphor for change and evolution: we are a vehicle for something that is expressed through us, that "falls" through us. There is something that mutates at the same time something we recognize as immutable. "CAER" opens us to this paradox, representing the "fall" which at this time feel is an expression of the process of development of Life itself: a fall towards the void, a vacuum that ultimately, with his calm and vertigo, is the inevitable Present.

Background Information

Fernando Nicolás Pelliccioli and Carlos Osatinsky are Argentinian dancers and choreographers currently living in Berlin. Since the year 2000 they been working as freelance dancers in different projects across the European scene - mainly in Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Alongside their individual experiences as performers and creators with other artists, they embarked on a form of creative collaboration, impelled by the search for a more honest scenic language, researching different interactive modes of relationship between performers, performance and spectators. They look for more open forms of composition, integrating set scores with improvisational tools in an attempt to create scenic experiences that offer a deeper sense of risk, openness and aliveness. “CAER” is their fifth project in collaboration which will be going on tour to Argentina in November 2009
