Dance Week Festival

26 Dance Week Festival, Croatia's premiere international festival of contemporary dance features the Croatian Choreographer Platform. A selection comprised from among 42 applications submitted to be presented. The Platform features works of both emerging as well as established dance makers creating in Croatia - Irma Omerzo Cie Marmot, Snjezana Abramovic Zagreb Dance Ensemble, Rajko Pavlic of Liberdance, Marjan Krajac Sodaberg, Ana Mrak & Darja Dozdor with Studio for Contemporary Dance; Nensi Lazic of DanceLab, Silvija Marchig's Kik Malone, Aleksandra Misic from INK Pula and Trafik of from Rijeka. The Festival (May 25 - June 1, 2009) feautures also artists Croatian origin working abroad - Michael Lazic (Belgium), Jasna Vinovrski (Germany) - and the panorama will feature also site-specific performance by local group VEM. International program comprises of works by: Barak Marshall (Monger as the ouverture to the festival May 18), NDT 2, Gilles Jobin, Compania Paulo Ribeiro, Karina Holla, Lucy Guerin , Vanessa van Durme, along with project Beyond Fronta: Snjezana Premuz, Pal Frenak, Claire Granier. The festival will also host participants of Choreorome. Also scheduled is the opening of the new dance centre in Zagreb.
