Background Information

Boris Charmatz, choreographer and Director of the Musée de la danse in Rennes, and Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota, stage director and Director of Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, have imagined DANSE ÉLARGIE: more than a simple contest, an artistic adventure to be shared.

DANSE ÉLARGIE is open to any kind of dance, understood in its broadest definition, to artists from all generations or nationalities, regardless of their original art form (visual arts, theatre, dance, music, etc…).
