Megan and Jessica Kennedy co-founded junk ensemble in 2004, committed to creating works of unconventional and gutsy dance theatre. Works include the site-specific piece The Rain Party (Winner Excellence and Innovation Award 2007), Drowning Memory in a Bowl (International Dance Festival 2006), Circus Freak, and Watch Her Disappear which have toured nationally and internationally. Other choreographies include This Is Still Life (Brokentalkers), eX Vocal Ensemble (2007), The Caucasion Chalk Circle (Trinity School of Drama 2006) and Daniel Figgis’ Opera for Dance The Banquet (2006). junk ensemble’s Drinking Dust was listed as an Irish Times Highlight for 2008. junk ensemble are Associate Artists to Project Arts Centre, Dublin.
