The theme of the spectacle is melting of ice, the very first movements breaking the stillness, breaking of ice. Awakening of suspended energy. The eruption of puryfying power.
The process begins almost unnoticed. Everything is dead calm. Ice plate slowly begins to crush. Melting ice takes everything redundant. Water rises step by step gently turning into mild garrulous stacatto gradually bursting into uncontroled chaos, vortex, in the end becoming a violent stream, a waterfall. It scares because it possess the presences of destruction. Finally it appears that it is necessary for the rebirth. Vital and desired.
FLOE is not a choreographic solo however there is only one dancer performing. It is a creation based on movement within space, light and sound. It is a living image spread in time.
KONCENTRAT is an artistic group, not a contemporary dance theatre.
KONCENTRAT is a brand/trademark that imprints joint and individual projects of the group members. Common goal/denominator for our actions is - shared by all - way of perceiving art.
KONCENTRAT does not stand for any particular style/trend in art. We seek our own way, own narratives, own language and intonation to tell the stories.
The spectator is the main aspect in KONCENTRAT's thinking: we tend to seduce, provoke, bore, irritate, disappoint, but also enchant. We all derive from contemporary theatre that merges dramatic theatre, moving theatre, contemporary dance, performance - those aspects steer to/ focus on immediate confrontation with the audience.
The second aspect of our focus is the performer. However, the performer means for us more than just the human element on stage; performer means also light, sound and the space as well. In our work we approach the dancer/actor with the same attention as every other element/ingredient that exists on 'stage'.
