fragile_the solo
fragile is a dance solo danced in/with an installation made out of thin transparent nylon thread. Subjects of the piece are the performance states and evolving images making a dancer being or look fragile. The exposed performer experiences a transformation from the inside out. It is an explorative journey where the dancer has to deal with the unpredictability of the material.The installation stands as a metaphor of something which both supports and restricts. The audience is invited to have a closer look at the created intimacy which eventually evoke various associations and images.

A pure physical and visual piece which has been created for small theatre spaces as well as for exhibition spaces/galleries.

fragile has been created at/was supported by the "summerstudios" of Rosas/Parts, Brussels, Korzo theatre Den Hague (NL) and the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart (GE).
