In 2012 ICE HOT Nordic Dance Platform takes place in Helsinki, Finland, December 12–15. The artistic program is selected through an open call for Nordic choreographers and dance companies. In ICE HOT Helsinki 2012 the emphasis will be on the concept of contemporary, and performances directed for grown-up audiences.
Background Information
ICE HOT Nordic Dance Platform presents contemporary Nordic dance at its best. The platform consists of high quality and diverse performances from both established groups and newcomers. In addition to the artistic program, the event acts as a broad discussion and meeting forum, and brings together dance field professionals from all over the world.
The biennial platform was arranged for the first time in Stockholm, Sweden in December 2010. The platform consisted of 21 performances by Nordic choreographers and dance companies, and it gathered over 200 guests worldwide.
ICE HOT is a Nordic collaboration project. The main organizer for ICE HOT Helsinki 2012 is Dance Info Finland, and the co-organizers are Dansens Hus Stockholm (Sweden), Dansescenen Copenhagen (Denmark), Dansens Hus Oslo (Norway) and Performing Arts Iceland.
