Skree Wolf / I'd like to save the world, but I'm too busy saving myself

Marseille, France

26 - 27 Oct '10

2 Performances as part of 'Question de Danse', a dance programme that promotes contact (including a discussion after the performance) between 'young' work and an audience.

Background Information

"Skree Wolf" means cry wolf in Afrikaans. The company was founded in 2010 by Geneva-based dancers Rudi van der Merwe and Susana Panadés Diaz, but has been doing independent research since 2008. "I'd like to save the world, but I'm too busy saving myself" is our first professional work and deals with political engagement in contemporary Western society. The piece takes a light-hearted approach to the subject as we follow the journey of two bimbos preparing for and participating in a street demonstration. For these performances at Question de Danse in Marseille, we were promoted by théâtre Sévelin 36 in Lausanne, one of several theatres associated with this event
