Background Information

To find peace is to fulfill one's destiny.
To fulfill one's destiny is to be constant.
If one does not know the Constant,
One runs blindly into disasters. Lao Tzu

Constriction and mistake are represented in a course that deals with the dynamics of a hypothetical existential project, to make the memory of a journey that becomes first physical then mental.
A sort of training in the life that never fails to achieve perfection in space.

The self-imposed or voluntary constraint, the mistake, the memory are main themes of this work, and through this performance, they emerge in a movement, a gesture, in aesthetics so precise and finalized to develop a very simple and easy action.

The reflection upon unidirectional foreseen (from the observer’s view of the dancer and not otherwise) represents the conceptual starting point from which dancer starts to make any her performative action. The blind state involves senses, causes disorientation, limits actions and inhibits total consciousness of herself.

Il ragionevole ricordo [di un destino] is a variation on the voluntary constraints theme, on forced pathways and intervals programmed and repeated.

An impossible attempt of a neutral memory representation, never completely faithful to what has been.

The first stage of this research on non-see, was the performance Project for a prayer # 1 presented for the first time in Rome in the San Romano’s church, followed by horizontal zero, created in 2006 in Prague, produced by Tanec Praha and Ponec Theater for the program MAPxxl - mobility in art process and the contribution of Gai - Association for the circuit of young Italian artists.
