Ja Ja der Jodok
‘I don’t know anything about uncle Jodok, except that he was the uncle of the grandfather. I don’t know what he looks like; I don’t know where he lives or what he works as. I only know his name, Jodok. And I don’t know anybody else who is named like that.’
Ja Ja der Jodok
‘I don’t know anything about uncle Jodok, except that he was the uncle of the grandfather. I don’t know what he looks like; I don’t know where he lives or what he works as. I only know his name, Jodok. And I don’t know anybody else who is named like that.’ This piece is the story of self-constructed friendships; friends who can be inflated on demand, who can be used, abused, or just left alone. The thematic and acoustic foundation is drawn from Peter Bichsel’s novel »Jodok läßt grüßen« and read by the author himself. Peter Bichsel’s linguistic-play sets the action frame for the physical and raw movement-play of the dancers. Brash, wild and sexy, this dance avoids any formal etiquette.
