Live on stage is a show about the stage and being an artist on stage. It is about artist’s choices, what is he doing, how he presents and sells himself. About being in the wrong place at the wrong time, about lacking ideas and having to many of them, about audience expectations, about doing too little and creating too much. About a song, a dance, a joke, a mockery and goofing around. About skills and a lack of them. About presentation and going overboard. About performance – seriously, live, on stage.
Janusz Orlik, graduate of ballet school in Warsaw, was a student of Brucknerkonservatorium Linz (Austria), a founding member of the company x.IDA (Austria) touring internationally in productions created by Olga Cobos, Peter Mika, Catherine Guérin, Rebekka Murgi, Nicole Caccivio and Charlotte Vincent. Since 2002 - a member of Vincent Dance Theatre (UK).
His choreographic works include “Exérese monobloc”, “and thy neighbour as thyself”, “Live on stage”. In 2007 he performed in “nothing” with towarzystwo gimnastyczne, in 2009 in “Happy” choreographed by Nigel Charnock. Other works include: „High heels” (Opera Krakowska, 2007), „Alpha” (Scena Tańca Współczesnego), „Folk” (Szkoła Tańca i Baletu Fouetté, 2009).

In 2006, a student of “School of Ballet and Dance Fouette” (Poznan, Poland) won the 2nd price at “Jugend Tanzt” (Dortmund, Germany) dancing in Janusz’s choreography “Not perfect”.
