MOV-S 2012

MOV-S is a space for international exchange in the field of dance and movement arts, which celebrated its first edition in April 2007 at Mercat de les Flors (Barcelona).

MOV-S seeks to build bridges for reflexion and cooperation among the different actors which constitute the dance and movement arts sector in order to establish natural ways of meeting and collaboration.

This is an initiative of Mercat de les Flors of Barcelona which itinerates through different locations in Spain. Previous editions were held in Barcelona 2007, Galicia 2008 and Madrid in 2010.

In 2012, MOV-S will be held in Cadiz, organized in cooperation with the Cadiz City Council as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the 1st Spanish Constitution, known as “La Pepa”.

MOV-S 2012’s item will be Dance and Democracy, and will pay special attention to Iberian-American geographic space (Spain, Portugal and Latin America) and to the new trends within flamenco.

MOV-S 2012 will be a open space of debate built as a cooperative dialogue and of artistic programation among these three territories and among the agents making up the field of dance and movement arts: artists, art directors, managers, politicians, academics and citizens.

The artistic programation of MOV-S will be conform by spanish, portuguese and latin artist, whose pieces will be linked with the theoric context of the meeting and will focus on the new languages of flamenco.

MOV-S es un espacio para el intercambio internacional de la danza y las artes del movimiento que celebró su primera edición en abril de 2007 en el Mercat de les Flors (Barcelona).

MOV-S busca construir pensamiento y puentes de colaboración entre los diferentes agentes que conforman el sector de la danza y las artes del movimiento con el fin de establecer vías naturales de encuentro y colaboración.

Es una iniciativa del Mercat de les Flors de Barcelona que se desarrolla en España de manera itinerante. Las anteriores ediciones tuvieron lugar en Barcelona 2007, en Galicia 2008 y Madrid en 2010.

En 2012, MOV-S tendrá lugar en Cádiz y estará organizado en colaboración Ayuntamiento de Cádiz. Se desarrollará dentro del contexto de celebración del 200 aniversario de la 1º Constitución Española: “La Pepa”.

MOV-S 2012 girará en torno al tema: Danza y democracia y pondrá especial atención en el espacio geográfico Iberoamericano (España, Portugal y Latinoamérica) y las nuevas tendencias del flamenco.

MOV-S 2012 será un espacio para el debate y la programación artística construidos de forma colaborativa entre estos tres territorios y entre los diferentes agentes que conforman el sector de la danza y las artes del movimiento.

La programación artística de MOV-S estará conformada por artistas españoles, portugueses y latinoamericanos cuyas piezas tengan vinculación con el contexto teórico del encuentro y pondrá especial atención en los nuevos lenguajes del flamenco.
