Dublin Dance Festival and Dance Ireland are committed to bringing the best of Irish choreographic talent to our audiences. This year, again in partnership with Culture Ireland, we are showcasing the work of six choreographers whose work is representative of the exciting directions that contemporary dance is taking in Ireland.
Re-Presenting Ireland’s Mixed Bills are about providing a platform for Irish choreographers to introduce their work to a local and international audience and are an important way in which DDF and Dance Ireland nurture home grown work. In these two Mixed Bills, the wide variety of dance work on offer is guaranteed to spark your interest in dance! Participating choreographers and companies are Jean Butler, Ciotóg, junk ensemble, Dylan Quinn, Rex Levitates and Night Star Dance Company.
The work presented in these Mixed Bills has been selected by the following peer panel: John Ashford (Theatre Director, The Place Theatre, London); Brian Brady (Head of Theatre Performance, Laban Centre, London); Mary Brady (Artistic Director, Woking Dance Festival, South East England); Róise Goan (Artistic Director, Dublin Fringe Festival) and Laurie Uprichard (Director, Dublin Dance Festival).
