tanz nrw 09 will present more than 25 recent dance productions from Northrhine-Westphalia, among them four premieres. The second edition of this NRW dance platform will take place in the form of a coordinated parcours at different venues in seven cities in NRW.

Extraordinary positions of the Northrhine-Westphalian dance landscape as well as productions by promising choreographical newcomers will be showcased. Expect to see new developments and tendencies of contemporary dance from NRW in different formats and staging forms.

The regional dance platform NRW is a presentation of and initiated by the presenter’s community Dance Producers Conference NRW (TpK), a cultural political combination of different institutions in NRW across regional and city borders: tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf, PACT Zollverein Essen, Kulturbüro der Stadt Krefeld (Fabrik Heeder), Stadt Viersen (Festhalle Viersen), Kulturamt Köln (Studiobühne Köln), Kulturbüro Wuppertal (Café Ada, Fabrik ELBA), Stadt Bonn with the theaterimballsaal and the Brotfabrik Bonn.
