Background Information
Petri Kekoni Company´s creation The green Armchair is a piece about toughness of rest - and how difficult it´s to permit it. It´s a manifest against unnecessary movement! The performance is a study in the aesthetics of repose and of the borderline between movement and immobility.
It´s also a metaphor for waiting that has been tuned to the extreme explosion point. Its organic bursts creates contrasts and occasional stillness is not without thought or meaning.
